Room signage system

How can I find my room?

First, you need to locate the right building, or right part of the building. You can find the (part of the) building you are looking for based on the relevant room code (e.g. ME0.203 = cafeteria building). All (parts of) buildings on campus are assigned specific letters, which can be found on the facade of each (part of the) building, as well as above the lifts.

Next, check the numbers that come after the letter(s): In the case of multi-digit numbers, the first number indicates the floor and the subsequent numbers (after the dot) the room number (e.g. W1.101 = Building W, 1st floor, Room 101).

Where there is a single-digit number after the letter, this indicates a lecture hall (e.g. A1 = lecture hall A1), whereby lecture halls are usually located on the ground floor. The university also has “stand-alone lecture halls”, which do not feature a number in their room code (e.g. G or the Audimax (AM)).

Exception: In the P complex, the first number indicates the part of the building (e.g. P1); the floors count up from the basement, i.e.: P6.2437 means: Building P6, ground floor, Room 2437.

You can find an overview on the university’s campus map.
