New to university – Find out more and get to know the place
Date: On offer as required. Please feel free to get in touch!
Target group: Students with and without disabilities
Language of the event: German
This event is aimed at all students who would like to get to know university life better, make new friends or simply chat with other students. Everyone is very welcome – including students in later semesters. This event is on offer for first-year students with health conditions who are looking for support and a chance to share experiences.
Health conditions come in many forms and can be visible or invisible. These include, amongst others, chronic illnesses (such as rheumatism, diabetes or Crohn’s disease), specific learning difficulties (e.g. reading and spelling difficulties or dyscalculia), motor impairments, mental health conditions (such as depression and anxiety disorders), as well as visual, hearing or speech impairments.
Please feel free to complete a registration if you’d like to explore university life together and get to know one another better in a relaxed and welcoming setting. We’ll collate the registrations according to areas of interest and then arrange dates together with you. This could involve sharing information to make everyday university life easier and offering mutual support, spending an afternoon together playing games, or having lunch together in the Mensa (cafeteria and dining hall). Of course, we’ll also provide you with valuable information about life at university.
