Our events

The "Studying with Disabilities" service point regularly organises events, meetings and support services for prospective students, students, graduates and teaching staff at Paderborn University. These offers range from general information to specific and personalised information, from consultations with academic staff to peer-to-peer discussions and networking between students.

New at the uni­ver­sity

This event offers students with disabilities the opportunity to find out about support options during their studies and to exchange ideas with others affected. Contact persons for problems are introduced and the opportunity is offered to make new contacts.

In­clus­ive Get-To­geth­er

The Central Student Counselling Service and the AStA Social Office cordially invite all Paderborn University students to the "Inclusive Get-Together", an open discussion group for students with and without disabilities. The aim is to socialise and find out more about the university's support options.

Cats against uni­ver­sity stress

The Service Centre for Students with Disabilities invites you to the event "Cats against University Stress", organised in cooperation with the Paderborn University Animal Shelter. Students can find relaxation through contact with cats and at the same time help the animals to increase their chances of finding a new home.

The Service Centre for Studying with Disabilities organises meetings for neurodiverse students to help them find their way around the university and build a network. It offers tips on organising your studies, information on compensating for disadvantages and the opportunity for exchange and individual advice.

In­form­a­tion event on com­pens­a­tion for dis­ad­vant­ages

The Service Centre for Students with Disabilities regularly offers online information events on the topic of compensation for disadvantages. The requirements, the application procedure, examples of compensation and tips on how to apply are explained. Questions can be asked and uncertainties clarified.
